My country turns a sprightly 143 today. We are still so young!
Every day I am reminded of how fortunate I am to grow up in such a safe and prosperous place.
I must say thank you to my fellow Canadians in the Armed Forces who are working hard to protect my freedom and risking their lives every day in the process.
Emmett wants to be a Soldier when he grows up. I am both proud and terrified at that thought.
PS: I made those cupcakes for Emmett's last day of school. They celebrated Canada Day a bit early.
