I'm at camp, and since I kind of have to wait for trouble to find me, I find I have lots of time to read when I am not chasing Matthew around the volleyball court.
This is what's in my bag:
Buffy The Vampire Slayer 1
Yep. A Vampire book. I didn't say I was ant-vampire, just anti-Twilight!
Buffy and I are old friends and this book seems like the perfect book to sit on the deck with.
Runner's World Complete Book of Running.
I borrowed this from the library, but will probably end up buying a copy. I figured that since I just signed up for my second race and am contemplating a 10K and a half-marathon next year, I should probably do some formal research!
Edgar Sawtelle
My mom loaned me this book. It is a bit heavier than my other two selections, but I can't let my brain turn totally to mush, right?
Jamie's Italy
Another Library book. I love reading big gorgeous cookbooks full of pictures that transport you away. This book will fit the bill nicely. It will probably come home from the lake full of bookmarks showing recipes I will want to try when I get home!
What's in your beach bag or on the table beside your deck chair??

I set aside my "heavier" reading this summer in favour of an old hardcover book I picked up at Value Village in spring ~ a collection of 4 unabridged Robert Ludlum novels: The Scarlatti Inheritance, The Osterman Weekend, The Matlock Paper, and The Gemini Contenders. I'm almost finished the second one.
I'm reading a lot of Buddhist/Zen books this summer and the one I'm enjoying right now is called The Chocolate Cake Sutra by Geri Larkin. I was actually reading it at the beach today!
I just picked up from the library and about to crack open "It's Hard to Make A Difference When You Can't Find Your Keys", a book about getting organized. LOL.
Oh, and I just polished off the newest Father Tim book from the library too ("Home to Holly Springs"), and read all the Vinyl Cafe books I could find there too.
I thought Matthew wasn't going to camp this year?
