The kids are bouncing off the walls, the NORAD Santa Tracker has been booted up and the stockings have been located. Christmas morning breakfast has been planned out, supplies laid in and invitations extended (there will be lots! come on by!)

Tonight, stockings will be hung and then we will gather for the annual viewing of The Muppet Christmas Carol with some cinnamon caramel corn to munch. I plan on having a nip of Peppermint Baileys. We may sneak out to Midnight Mass after the kids go to bed, if my parents are willing to babysit. (Even though I am not a Christian anymore, I can still appreciate the beauty and majesty of a candle-lit cathedral and some lovely choral music)

Watch that NORAD tracking. That was the beginning of the end of the jolly fat man for us, although DS is hanging by a thread this year. Is he, isn't he, he wavers daily and I only answer, "Well, what do you think?" the party line. But it all started with, "There's no way reindeer could carry a sleigh all that way," last year. Damn technology.

When my kids were small, we did not have the internet. So no Santa tracker for us.
We used to sprinkle oats and a little glitter out on the sidewalk so the reindeer would know where to land.

I love choral music, too. I don't mind listening to religious stuff during the holidays, I grew up listening to it and it's something I look forward to every year.
No one else in my family likes it.
