What a diifference a day makes.

Our yard this past weekend

Jackrabbit tracks down our back lane
I love the stark contrast of snow on green grass

Our street almost looked like a black and white photograph this morning

Snow on the lilac bush

We had our first big snowfall of the year yesterday. That meant a frantic trip to Walmart when I realized that only one child had boots that fit (and a Caesar for me when we got home.)

But, after that harrowing experience the kids had fun with a twilight snowball fight before bed. And Matthew and I chased a jackrabbit down our back lane after school drop off this morning. The snow is quickly melting, so there might not even be time for snowmen after school, but the kids have their fingers crossed!

Wow. Snow. We were promised rain. It kind of, sort of, sprinkled. Maybe. I saw some wetness on my car.

Jealous.

Man, I wish I could view snow with the same enthusiasm as my kids do!!! I guess it all has to do with the perception of time, eh? Time has no meaning for kids, so telling them there will be 6 more months yet for them to enjoy snow makes no difference.

Ugh, 6 more months.

::sigh::

It is beautiful but too early for it! Then again, I suppose it is simply part of living where you live. :)

I prefer my snow to come with a side of December. LOL

wow! My kids are already wishing for snowmen. But we only get enough snow for snowmen every few years. I don't know kiddos.....

That's just surreal to me. We won't get snow for at least another month or two, and then it will be like an inch and everyone will FREAK OUT and all the schools and businesses will close!
